All pilots got to start somewhere and this is basically a trainer, a dual cockpit plane on which pilots can learn the basics right up to advanced skills. The romantic training biplanes such as the DeHavilland Tigermoth, Bücker Jungmann and Boeing Stearman PT17 as well as the Chipmunk and later even the humble Cessna 150 – all used as primary trainer (PT) - are all excellent planes on which pilots started their careers. Skills are honed on advanced trainers, most famous example for sure is the North American AT-6 Harvard/Texan, which is still used to train pilots on how to fly Warbirds.
